The Chief Commisioner of Income Tax, Mumbai has announced a recruitment drive for meritious sports persons in different games/sports for various Income Tax offices situated in Mumbai. The Government body has a football team playing in the Senior Division of the Mumbai Football League (MFL). Sports Eligibilty - Represented State in National competition or Country in International competition Represented University in Inter-University tournaments Represented State Schools Team in All India School Games Won National awards under the National physical efficiency drive Inspector of Income tax (Pay-scale: Rs 9,300 – Rs. 34,800) Graduate in any discipline from any recognized University Age: 20-27 years as on 15:3:2010 Tax Assistant (Pay-scale: Rs 5,200 – 20,200) Graduate in any discipline from any recognized University Should possess data entry speed of 8000 key depressions per hour on computer Age: 18-27 years as on 15:3:2010 Peon (Pay-scale: Rs 4,400 – 7,400) 8th Standard Pass Age: 18-25 years as on 15:3:2010 The applicants will be scrutinized and suitable candidates will be short-listed for further selection procedure. For such shotlisted candidates, a physical test will be conducted in each discipline of sports. Successful candidates may have to appear for a written test followed by an interview.
